Since 2010, CRIEC, in partnership with Bow Valley College, has offered mentoring strategies and career path planning initiatives for internationally trained professionals. The overarching goal of these programs is to connect newcomer professionals with Canadian experienced working professionals in nurturing partnerships that support career advancement.

For the past 20 years, Laurel has developed and delivered training for internationally educated employees, employers and job seekers in strategies to find meaningful employment and the skills to build successful careers in Calgary. She leads the unit that delivers the Corporate Readiness Training Program, DiverseCity on Board, and that supports the delivery of the CRIEC/Bow Valley College Mentorship Initiatives.
