Mentor Monday Blog – A Lighthouse
Monday, June 18, 2018
This is a lighthouse in northern New Brunswick.
It helped guide ships for many generations through fog, rain, snow, ice and rough waters.
It has also been part of my life since I could remember. The lighthouse was there for us regardless of the weather – its stoic stand in the midst of a bad storm was always comforting and on a bright sunny day it served as a backdrop for daydreaming about the future.
Mentoring is a bit like a lighthouse. My Mentors were always there for me – a welcome coffee in the middle of a busy day or an ear when I had a million questions.
Simple in design. Calmly guiding.
Many Mentors were my lighthouses. Who were some of yours?
